Michelle and I went to the Target Center today to watch the most inspiring and substantive political speech I have ever seen in person. The 22,000 seat center was full. One of the lines went around the Center over the 7th st bridge and well into North Minneapolis - reaching at least a mile. I was at his state campaign office yesterday - and the room was full of people answering phones with the response "sorry, it is sold out". Minnesota wanted to be at the Target Center. Actually, to be fair, there were probably people that visited Romney at the realty office in Edina - and Clinton's event will probably sell out tomorrow at Augsburg (all 230 seats).
Seriously now, Clinton was up by 7 last Thursday - so there is no doubt that the race will be tight here in Minnesota. Frankly, I am a little confused about how her numbers are so high. Because I have never actually met a Sen. Clinton supporter. So -if you are one - I would love to talk to you. Not to convert you just to better understand the position.

I'll leave you with two video links. one - part of the Target Center speech and two- a recent post by a group of musicians.

Luke, this painting is amazing. Or, as the kids would say, it's stupid good.
